Saleem Dhobi (born October 6, 1980) is a Nepali academic, author, and career motivator known for his contributions to English literature, multiculturalism, and professional development. He serves as an Assistant Professor of English at Patan Multiple Campus, Tribhuvan University, and has authored over thirty books used widely in academic institutions. Early Life
editSaleem Dhobi was born in a remote village in the Kapilvastu district of Nepal. He is the youngest of five siblings, with four elder sisters. His parents, Mrs. Gulsan Dhobi and Mr. Majeed Dhobi, passed away in 2005 and 2015, respectively. Saleem relocated to the Kathmandu Valley in 2003 to pursue higher education.
Education
editSaleem attended Tribhuvan University, where he earned his Master’s degree in English from the Central Department of English. He later completed a Master’s degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Trichandra Campus, an MPhil in Conflict Management and Postcolonial Studies, and a PhD in Multiculturalism and Ethnicity.
Academic Career
editSaleem began his teaching career as a lecturer at Kathmandu Model College, where he taught English to undergraduate and postgraduate students. He is currently an Assistant Professor of English at Patan Multiple Campus, a constituent college of Tribhuvan University, where he focuses on critical theories, communication, and pedagogical methods.
