Sam's Coal Fired Pizza is a pizzeria located in Daytona Beach, Florida[1] that serves Chicago stuffed, Romano, Detroit style, New York style and New Haven style pizzas.[2]

History

edit

Sam's Coal Fired Pizza was founded in May 2020 by Sam Tadros[3] during the pandemic due to shortages of quality frozen pizza.

In May 2020, Dave Portnoy of One Bite Reviews rated the pizza an 8.4 with 1.3 million pizzas sold in less than 48 hours.[2][4][5] In September 2020, it signed a two-year agreement to sell exclusively through Goldbelly.[citation needed]

In January 2024, Sam's Coal Fired Pizza's frozen division was sold to Unilever for USD 23.9 million and in April of the same year it opened its first brick and mortar location under the world's most famous beach sign in Daytona Beach.[citation needed]

The restaurant was closed temporarily due to improvement project in Daytona Beach and will be opening in February 2025.[6][7][8]
