Samaya Chauhan (born 12 August 2008) is an Indian mental health advocate, who aims to curb bullying in schools, and online (cyberbullying), considering the high rate of bullying in the country. She has worked closely with mental health experts to understand the ramifications of bullying, and how it can impact students' self-esteem and overall development.
Through her campaign अंत-e-Bullying, she collaborated with several organizations and initiated camps to benefit 50,000+ students nationwide. Samaya has partnered with the Delhi Traffic Police, the Blind Relief Association of Delhi and changemakers like Diya Madan to spread her message far and wide.
One of her initiatives that gained a lot of visibility was an ‘Anti-bullying Booth’ and ‘Kindness Tree’ that she put up at Select Citywalk Mall in Delhi. Over 500 people walked up to her and her team expressing their solidarity for the movement. She intends to work with organizations and educational institutions in urban and rural areas to reach the grassroots and prevent student suicides, which have resulted in the deaths of over 10,000 children under the age of 18.
Childhood
editBorn and raised in New Delhi, Samaya and her twin Samara are the eldest of the four children of Dr. Aseem Chauhan, and granddaughter of Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, founder of the Amity Education Group in India.
Education
editA student of Amity International School, Pushp Vihar, Samaya is currently completing her secondary education, in New Delhi, India. She plans to pursue a degree in management that can equip her with the knowledge necessary to strengthen her existing social initiatives, create change, and positively impact the lives of all concerned.

edit- She is the youngest person to have been conferred with the Big Impact Award - Delhi for Mental Wellbeing on 22 April 2024.
- Along with Sanjana Chauhan, Samaya won the ‘Silver Award’ in the Climate Champion Profiles Challenge, a global storytelling competition, that shortlisted 40 entries from 14 countries ((Belgium, Bulgaria, Ethiopia, Georgia, Hungary, India, Montenegro, Poland, Republic of Korea, Nigeria, Pakistan, Romania, Slovenia, and the United States). The competition was part of The Writing’s on the Wall project, organized in partnership with News Decoder and The Climate Academy.
