Personal life
editSam Beres was born and raised in New Jersey, United States. He has three sisters and has shared fond memories of his middle and high school years. After completing his studies in finance and management in New York City, he lived there for six years before returning to New Jersey. Beres enjoys traveling and has visited countries such as Japan, Italy, Morocco, and Czechia.[2] He is a devout Catholic and owns a cocker spaniel named Bruno.[3]
YouTube career
editSam created his YouTube channel on January 1, 2020, and posted his first video, "Wikipedia Speedrun," on January 22, 2021.[4] His channel gained popularity with his unique short-form content, which includes humorous takes on various topics, GeoGuessr gameplay, reaction videos, and challenges. By the end of 2021, his channel had already surpassed one million subscribers.[5] Before his YouTube career, Beres was active on Twitch and TikTok and worked at a bank.[6]
Sam's channel has become known for its engaging community, with comment sections often filled with the humorous "Sam is the type of guy to..." copypastas.[7]
