Samte Khoda (Persian: سمت خدا) is an Iranian TV talk show. Its producer and director is Abdulmajid Rokni and presenter is Najmeddin Shariati. This program is broadcast on IRIB TV3 channel and deals with religious, Morality and social issues. According to the polls conducted on Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, Samte Khoda was able to become one of the most watched programs on Iranian TV by winning the majority of votes.[1][2][3][4][5]

editSamte Khoda is one of the productions of the Islamic Culture and Education Group of IRIB TV3 channel, which was founded in 2009 by Abdulmajid Rokni. The first episode of Samte Khoda program aired on IRIB TV3 channel on April 13, 2009.[6]

Samte Khoda is broadcast live on IRIB TV3 channel from Saturday to Thursday around 13:00 Tehran time for almost 60 minutes.
Program presenters
From 2009 to 2022, Najmeddin Shariati alone was responsible for the implementation of Samte Khoda program. In August 2022, Shariati announced on live air about his short absence to perform this program and announced that he will return after the days of Muharram and Safar, and during this time, Reza Mollaei replaced him temporarily.[7][8] In March 2024, Shariati took a short leave again due to the performance of Mahe Man program, special program for the month of Ramadan, and once again he was replaced by Mollaei.[9]

In one of the programs of May 1393, one of the experts of this program, Mohammad Mahdi Mandegari, criticized the advertising situation of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, which was acting against the standards of Ali Khamenei, and immediately after this criticism, Abdulmajid Rokni, the producer of the program, was fired. As a sign of protest, Shariati announced in the live program that he will no longer be the host of Samte Khoda and said goodbye to the people. Farahzad, the expert of the program, also supported Shariati and said that if Shariati is not there, I and the other experts will not come to the program.[10][11] A week later, the program returned to its previous state and the host and experts returned to the program.[12]
