Samuel Decatur McGill (April 23, 1878 - 1951) was a lawyer in Florida. He defended the Scottsboro Boys. He Judson Douglas Wermore, and Lawrence Purcell handled several landmark civil rights cases together heard before the Florida Supreme Court.[1]
He was the son of Nathan and Agnes McGill.[2] He studied at Dummer Academy in Massachusetts,[2] and was a 1908 graduate of Boston University School of Law.[1]

He was photographed as part of a delegation of “colored” leaders in Port au Prince, Haiti.[3]
