Draft:Sanja Radovanovic

Sanja Radovanović (born 15.03.1979) is a Home Staging master, international speaker, and entrepreneur from Belgrade, Serbia. She is the Founder of The Art of Staging; Co-founder and President of EAHSP.[1]; CEO and Co-founder of Handshome, Italy’s first furniture rental company; Creative Director of MARITEAM Immobiliare[2]; Accredited Staging Professional Master; and Luxury home staging specialist.

Radovanović is an industry leader and influencer in the Home Staging industry. She is often interviewed and invited to speak at major Real Estate conferences worldwide about her line of work.

As part of her work, Home Staging is the act of professionally preparing a property for sale or for rent so that it sells in the shortest amount of time and at the best sales price. Home Staging was invented in Washington State, USA, in 1972 by Barb Schwarz, the creator of the staging industry and the first person to stage a home for sale.

Any properties wishing to be sold are suitable for home staging: e.g. dated homes, those which need renovations, renovated properties, or even new builds. This also means that staging is suitable for all types of homes on the market: apartments, villas, mansions, lofts, single detached, and more, as well as the kind of living situation: occupied, furnished, or vacant properties alike.

Under her leadership and presidency within EAHSP, her contribution is fundamental in establishing key institutional partnerships with Real Estate governing bodies such as CEPI, the European Association of Real Estate Professionals[7], and FIABCI[8], the International Real Estate Federation.

In 2019, with sustainability and the circular economy in mind, she Co-founds Handshome[9] with Verena Mumford. Handshome is the first company in Italy that offers design furniture for home staging, television sets, cinema, advertising, and events for rent.

Alongside Gianluca Mari, Sanja developed the ‘Metodo Mari’®,-- the ‘Mari Method’[11]. This method consists in preparing and enhancing residential properties for sale with home staging, in order to sell them in the shortest amount of time possible and at the best price. As of 2021, MARI Team Immobiliare® is known to be the only real estate agency in Italy to professionally stage every residential listing in their portfolio. Thanks to the Mari Method, the company was able to reach an absolute record of sales volume, with a percentage of properties selling above the asking price.

The same year, 2021, she takes part in eight episodes of season III of Bricks and the City[12], an Italian TV show entirely dedicated to the Real Estate sector.
