Sara Seligman is a Mexican filmmaker, writer and producer.
After directing hare short films Diego (2014) and Kosnin (2016) Sara wrote and directed her debut feature film Coyote Lake (2019). The psychological thriller drama stars Camila Mendes and Adriana Barraza, telling the story of a mother and daughter running a small bed-and-breakfast near the U.S.-Mexico border, who find themselves entangled with two dangerous guests. The film explores themes of familial bonds, survival, and hidden secrets, with a focus on building psychological tension.
Sara's television directorial debut Hotel Cocaine (episodes 5 and 6) premiered in the summer of 2024. Hotel Cocaine MGM+ Crime Thriller takes place in the late '70s and early '80s Miami cocaine scene. It follows the story of Roman Compte a Cuban exile, and general manager of the Hotel Mutiny. Starring Danny Pino, Yul Vazquez, Michael Chiklis, Mark Feuerstein, Laura Gordon, Corina Bradley, Tania Watson, Mayra Hermosillo, Juan Pablo Raba.
As a Producer Sara has had extensive experience on the advertisement side working radio and television spots for brands such as Hyundai, Genesis, and Champions amongst others. She has also worked in the scripted arena producing for HULU's Bite Size Halloween, Bite Size Holiday, Ramadan America, and LALIFF's Supa Hair amongst other independent short films. The Feature Film IMPOSTERS starring Jessica Rothe, Charlie Barnett, and Yul Vazquez directed by Caleb Philips, produced by Sara Seligman and Thomas Bond is currently in pre-production.
