Schmidt Island is a Rocky Island in the Willamette River south of Salem, Oregon. It Borders Minto-Brown Island Parkand is a popular stop with kayakers and boaters in the river^[1]. Schmidt Island is named after Salem Resident and South Salem High School ^[2] ASB President Nathan Schmidt (CO 2021)
