Sebastian Gishamer (born 13 October 1988) is an Austrian football referee who officiates in the Austrian Football Bundesliga. He has been a FIFA referee since 2019, and is ranked as a UEFA first category referee.[1]
Officiating career
[edit]Gishamer represents the Salzburg Football Association (Salzburger Fußballverband). He rapidly advanced through the Austrian lower divisions before making his debut in the top-flight Austrian Football Bundesliga during the 2016–17 season. In 2019, he was added to the FIFA International Referees List.[2]
Career highlights
[edit]- UEFA European Competitions: He regularly officiates group stage matches and qualifying fixtures in the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League, as well as qualifying rounds for the UEFA Champions League.[3]
- International Duty: Gishamer has refereed senior international matches in the UEFA Nations League and European Championship qualifiers, alongside UEFA youth national team fixtures.
Personal life
