Comment: None of the sources cited contributes towards notability per WP:NCORP. We need to see significant coverage, directly of this company and not some related topics, in multiple secondary sources that are reliable and entirely independent. This excludes routine business reporting such as funding rounds, M&A, interviews, minor business awards, etc. DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:14, 31 July 2026 (UTC)
Comment: 1. Please read WP:SOLUTIONS and remove marketing fluff terms. 2. Please read WP:NPOV and rewrite article in neutral & encyclopedic for tone & content. 3. Many of the sources in the article are press release outlets / business friendly "news"; user blogs; LinkedIn. Please only use WP:RELIABLE sources. CopyleftEverything (talk) 01:08, 19 July 2026 (UTC)
Comment: PR News Wire and similar style press release articles, as well as interviews and other primary and non-independent sources are not useful in the way you have cited them here. These should not be used. Bobby Cohn 🍁 (talk) 14:52, 16 June 2026 (UTC)

Seedtag is a contextual advertising company headquartered in Madrid, Spain.[1][2] Founded in 2014 by two former Google employees, it uses artificial intelligence to place advertising on web pages according to their content.[3][2] In July 2022 the private equity firm Advent International acquired a controlling stake in the company in a transaction valued at more than €250 million.[4][5]
History
[edit]Seedtag was founded in Madrid in 2014 by Albert Nieto and Jorge Poyatos, both formerly of Google.[1][3][6][2][7]
The company's original product placed interactive advertisements inside editorial photographs, a format known as in-image advertising .[3][6][7] After the format proved ineffective as a direct sales channel, Seedtag shifted towards brand advertising matched to the subject matter of surrounding content.[2]
In February 2021, Seedtag acquired Recognified, a Munich-based contextual advertising firm.[3]
In July 2022, Advent International acquired a controlling stake in Seedtag in a transaction valued at more than €250 million.[4][5]
In 2024, Seedtag acquired Beachfront, a streaming advertising company,[8] and the Australian advertising technology firm JustEggs.[9]
In 2025, Brian Gleason became chief executive officer.[10]
Technology
[edit]Seedtag provides artificial intelligence technologies for contextual advertising.[1] The company's system is named Liz, and places advertisements on web pages based on their content.[2]
