editAs a molecular plant breeder, Dr. Senthil Natesan has significantly contributed to the millet breeding program, leading to the development of nine high-yielding millet varieties. These varieties include:
- Finger Millet: Year of Release - 2004 Co(Ra) 14 and ALT1[2]
- Foxtail Millet: ear of Release - 2005 CO(Te)7 [2]
These varieties have been released through the Central Variety Release Committee (CVRC) for commercial cultivation .
