Artistic Style

edit

Septimiu is an advocate of lyrical expressionism, his work being influenced by artists such as Willem De Kooning, Wassily Kandinsky, and Zao Wou Ki.[1][2][3][4]

Most of Septimiu's paintings are large in size, and the technique commonly used is acrylic on canvas. The themes addressed by Septimiu are diverse, ranging from portrait and nude to complex creations that compose a series of paintings encrypted with the same message.[1][2][3][4]

"An artist in full artistic ascent, his creations are auctioned at prestigious auction houses in Romania and can be found in galleries in Romania and abroad, as well as in private collections in Canada, France, Italy, and Switzerland."[5][2]

Căpățînă has exhibited his works in various galleries and exhibitions, both in Romania and internationally. His paintings have drawn attention due to their unique style and the emotional depth they convey. He has been recognized as a significant figure in contemporary Romanian art.[2][4]

Recognitions

edit

Septimiu Căpățînă has received commendations from art critics and collectors for his distinctive approach to painting. His works are in private collections and have been featured in art publications.[4][16][17]

"The approached perspective, a blend of old and new, together with the statuary groups and dynamic characters, creates a unique universe."[18]

"Even though Septimiu Căpățînă's art is seemingly accessible to everyone, its multiple meanings and the complexity of its deceptive simplicity make it a topic of discussion 'only for connoisseurs,' as the seemingly playful details reveal themselves only through a deeper exploration of his works." [18] — Andreea State
