Sesan Thaddeus Fabamise (born January 20, 1962) is a Nigerian academic, lawyer, and professor of law. Yoruba: Fabamise Sesan He currently serves as a Professor in the College of Law at Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria, where he specializes in Public and International Law, Jurisprudence, and International Humanitarian Law.

Early Life and Education

Fabamise was born in Oye-Ekiti, Nigeria, and received his early education at Saints Peter and Paul's Primary School, Oye-Ekiti, and Saint Patrick Secondary Modern School, Oye-Ekiti. He continued his secondary education at Ayede Grammar School, Ayede-Ekiti, before pursuing higher education. He obtained his National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Architecture from Ondo State Polytechnic, Owo, in 1982 and 1985, respectively. Fabamise later shifted his focus to law, earning his LLB (Bachelor of Laws) from the University of Lagos in 1996. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1997 after completing the Nigerian Law School. He subsequently earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in 1998 and a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Lagos in 2023.

Fabamise is married with three children. He resides in Oye-Ekiti, Nigeria, and maintains professional ties with academic and legal institutions both in Nigeria and internationally.

Fabamise has over 24 years of experience in university teaching. His academic career began at the University of Lagos, where he taught in the Faculty of Law, specializing in subjects such as Conflict of Laws, Public International Law, and Jurisprudence. In 2007, he joined the National Assembly Service Commission as a Senior Legislative Adviser, where he worked on drafting bills, conducting legal research, and providing policy analysis.

Since 2012, Fabamise has been a professor at Afe Babalola University, where he continues to teach and conduct research in the areas of Public International Law, Criminology, and Jurisprudence.
