Dakhni cuisine
editDakhni cuisine, originating from the Deccan region of India, has a deep-rooted history that spans several centuries. Emerging as a fusion of Mughlai, Turkish, and Arabic culinary traditions brought to India by early settlers, Dakhni cuisine evolved uniquely as it encountered the local ingredients, spices, and cooking techniques of South India. Over time, it developed a distinctive identity, shaped by the culture and food habits of communities across the region.
Known for its robust use of spices, tender slow-cooked meats, and aromatic flavors, Dakhni cuisine offers a rich, layered taste experience. A signature offering at Sharief Bhai is its Dakhni biryani, prepared with fragrant Zeeraka Samba rice—a small-grain rice celebrated for its unique texture and ability to absorb rich flavors. Sharief Bhai’s menu features a variety of traditional dishes, from succulent kebabs to hearty curries, with an emphasis on authenticity and quality in every dish.[7]
The most celebrated dishes at Sharief Bhai are Mutton Biryani, Har-dil-azeem gosht biryani, Pathar gosht, Chicken 65, and Paya ka salan.
