Sheikh Hassan Allahyari (شیخ حسن الله ياري) in an afghan born Shia Twelver scholar, youtube personality and a debater currently living in USA. He is known for his extreme and orthodox religious speeches particularly on Youtube, Facebook and other Social media platforms in Farsi, Arabic, Urdu and English.[1]
He is one of the few shia scholars currently who follow orthodox Akhbari school of thought of following Quran and Hadith (nass) of Infallibles in each and every part of religious believe practice and oppose usuli concepts of ijtehad, taqlid and guardianship of Jurist. He is popular among the Shia and sunni population for debating staunchly on topics of disagreements among shia and sunni.
Early Life and Education
editThough he does not talk much about his early life but he was born in Kabul and then his family emigrated during Soviet invasion of Afghanistan and got settled in USA.
He moved to Najaf for studying shia jurisprudence under Shaykh Fayadh and also to Hawza of Qom under Ayatollah Vahid Khorasani etc. He studied for few years and while he researched deeply on the Primary Shia literature.
According to Him "the majority of courses taught in Shi’a seminaries (hawza) are useless and a regrettable waste of precious time". Also "Most subjects are fake talks guised in complex terminology that are presented as genuine knowledge and guidance; many courses contain heresies like Tasawwuf, Irfan etc, that take the student away from the Noble Imams, may Allah bless their names"
Ahl e bait TV
editAhle Bait Tv was a non profit channel that broadcasts from San Diego, California , USA and launched by hassan allahyari in which he used to have live programs and recently shifted to media platform. The TV channel used to have offices in Tehran, Isfehan and other places. This TV channels used to conduct Speeches, QnA sessions and debate particularly with Sunni personalities using mostly staunch approach. He also attends live calls after every speech and answers all types of queries related to each topic. [2]
The Clergy Court in Iran closed the offices of this network in Isfahan , Qom , and Mashhad on the charge of revealing the division between Shiites and Sunnis, and subsequently some of the network's affiliates were arrested[3]. Abtv was accused of being affiliated with American Intelligence and getting financial support to push the cause of Israel and conspiring against Islamic Republic.[4] Allahyari calls these accusations false and respond to them by saying "since they cannot defend their stance in front of me so they want to distort my image infront of shia population"
Positions
editAgainst Sunni - Extreme criticism of Sunni Sect by providing valid documents from the opposition argument from sunni books, that first three caliph after prophet Muhammad saws were false caliphs and urge sunni clerics to come and defend their believes. He repeatedly announce "if one of the Sunnis can prove the caliphate of Abu bakr he will shut down his network and become sunni. He also uses staunch language for Aisha, Hafsa (wives of Prophet Muhammad) as hypocrites and provides proof from sunni sources. He had many debates live with different sunni scholars on different topics of disagreement in different languages.
Against Marjaiyyat Hassan Allahyari emphasises on the promotion of Shiism centered on demonstrations such as the guardianship of the Ahl al-Bayt and the declaration of acquittal of their enemies, which is Tawalla and Tabarah, and not believing in the unity between the Shia and the Sunnis. Nothing but only the tradition and expression of Ahle bait has authority and one can only be acquitted in front of God by following their path. The personal opinion (fatwa) of Mujtahid or in fact any fallible person has no authority in any part shia religion. Thus, he is staunch opponent of Usuli concept of Taqlid, Ijtehad, Marjaiyyat and announce these concept as betrayal, innovation and disbelief, accusing Mujtahids of declaring their fatwas obligatory for Shia in the time occultation, and remove them from the right path of Imams. He had many debates on the topic of Taqlid and Marjaiyyat with different usuli shia clerics of, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan in different languages.[5]
Against Wilayat e Faqih and Islamic Republic of Iran
Strong opposition to the regime of the Islamic Republic, Wilayat Faqih, Khomieni's Revolution. According to him, every revolution before the emergence of twelfth shia Imam from occultation is fraud, unislamic and against the teachings of Quran and Sunnah. Many lectures and debates are present on his YouTube channels.[6][7][8]
Against mysticism, Irfan, philosophy
Strong rejection of Islamic philosophy and mysticism, Irfan based on authentic and Quranic narrative documentation. According to him, Mujtahids of Hawza has corrupted shiism by perpetuating the false teachings of Sufi scholars such as Ibn Arabi. He repeatedly says that sufism, mystic philosophy of Wahdat al wajood is infidelity and consider all sufis whether shia or sunnis as non muslims by providing proofs from hadiths of Imam Ridha and other imams. [9]
Against Ghulat
In the lights of Shia narration, hassan allahyari considers anyone Ghali (exaggerator) who believes that Imams are the creators (Khaliq) and sustainers (Raziq) or turning over these affairs to imams by god.[10] He considers Ghulats as infidels and worst of the creation according to hadiths. [11]Allahyari debated with some of the supporter of these believes from Iran and Pakistan.
permissibility of Marriage of Non Syed Man to Syed Woman.
More recently, Hassan allahyari have delivered many lectures and conducted many debate on the matter of permissibility of marriage of Syed Woman to Non syed Man in the lights of shia hadiths. As many of the Shias in Pakistan believe that this marriage is invalid and haram as syed (people in lineage of Prophet Muhammad) are purer than non syed. Allahyari consider this believe as innovation of some pakistani shia orators and frequently debated with some of them.
