Sheikh Yahaya Amin's early exposure to scholars, including Mallam Nuhu Sharubutu, influenced his education.

Education

edit

Sheikh Yahaya Amin began his education under his father's guidance, focusing on Arabic studies and Quranic recitation. He was brought to Accra to study with Mallam Sharubutu, where he also connected with Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu. The early bond between Yahaya Amin and Sheikh Osman blossomed into a lifelong relationship, with Yahaya Amin eventually becoming a confidante, advisor, and protégé of the National Chief Imam.[1] He attended a Western educational institution, gaining proficiency in English.
