editGaneung Dong Band Era
editYechan served as the violinist in the Ganeung Dong Band. After seeing the lead singer Im Gun-joo perform solo on the streets, Yechan invited him to perform together. Later, drummer Jo Hwan-seok joined, completing the band.
The band gained attention due to Im Gun-joo's vocals and Yechan's unique violin style, becoming a well-known street band. Their busking performance of "Smooth Criminal" on YouTube reached over 15 million views.[1][unreliable source?]
