This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Simplicissimus is a German YouTube channel which publishes video essays on politics, global affairs and society..[1][2]
Channel
editSimplicissimus was created on 12 April 2015 under the name Simplicissimus 2.0, after the German satirical magazine Simplicissimus which ran from 1896 to 1967[1]. It was created by university students Jonas and David who were studying at the time in Amsterdam.[3] The channel deals with issues in politics, society, science and media.
In 2019, the channel was a part of Funk media. They left in 2022[4] for more "flexibility" and in order to "experiment more".[3] The videos themselves are made by a team of 24 people who work internationally but have an office based in Amsterdam.[5] Simplicissimus worked once more with Funk on a documentary, "Putin's Bears", in 2024[6][7]
Jonas and David created a second channel 2 Bored Guys in 2016, with more subjective and casual videos.
The English language version of the channel is fern, which is co-managed by Dutch YouTuber Hoog.[8]
