Sixzee was created by freethedice.com in March 2024. During the first two weeks over 5000 games were played by over 100 people, who reported Sixzee to be an upgrade on regular yahtzee.[1]
The game follows the mechanics of regular yahtzee but has six dice and different scoring options, a bonuses system and requires fifteen turns compared to thirteen in regular yahtzee.
The scorecard has four sections: numbers 1-6, of-a-kinds, combos and straights. Players score +30 points as a bonus for each section of the scorecard successfully completed.[2]
The bonus system and the difficulty of achieving all bonuses in one game means that players will have to decide which section of the scorecard to prioritise.
