All of the sources currently cited fall into categories that WP:NCORP specifically excludes: an interview-based profile built from quotes given by a company representative, an interview with the company's marketing director about a payment processing trial, and a routine acquisition announcement that explicitly draws on the company's own press release. None of these contain independent analysis or reporting that goes beyond what the company itself provided. Please look for in-depth coverage from independent journalists or analysts that was not based on interviews with company staff or on press releases. Balabush (talk) 15:10, 21 July 2026 (UTC)

Smoakland is an American cannabis delivery company headquartered in Oakland, California. Founded in 2018, the company operates a licensed same-day cannabis delivery platform serving customers throughout California.[1]

Smoakland launched in Oakland in 2018 during the rollout of California's adult-use cannabis legalization, building brand awareness through billboards across the city while pursuing state licensing.[1] The company's business model focused on offering cannabis products at significantly lower prices than traditional dispensaries.[1]

In 2021, Smoakland organized Oakland's first city-permitted cannabis festival, held over Labor Day weekend at Frank Ogawa Plaza in conjunction with Hiero Day.[2] The event took two years to permit and was the first successful licensed cannabis sales event held in Oakland.[2]

In 2023, Smoakland tested a payment system designed to allow customers to pay for cannabis purchases by credit card, a payment method unavailable to most cannabis businesses due to federal banking restrictions.[3] The trial was later discontinued.[3]
