- Society for Africans in Diaspora (SAiD Institute)
The **Society for Africans in Diaspora (SAiD Institute)** is a non-profit organization based in Houston, Texas. Established in 2019, SAiD Institute aims to amplify the global contributions of Africans in the diaspora through education and community-building programs. SAiD Institute was founded in July 2019. It evolved from Applause Africa Magazine, which was launched in 2006 to reclaim the ownership of African stories and highlight the virtues and successes of the African Diaspora. Applause Africa hit newsstands in 2012 and became a national publication available at Barnes & Noble.
