Star Sign is the twenty-ninth studio album by American singer-songwriter Ryan Adams.
Background and release
editStar Sign was one of five albums released by Ryan Adams on January 1, 2024 to streaming services, after a period of pre-order for vinyl copies due later in the year.
The title track was originally released in 2011, as a bonus track for the album "Ashes and Fire".
Ryan previewed many of the tracks on his Instagram page leading up to the album's release, including early acoustic performances of "Speeding Car."
"Shinin' Through the Dark" was performed as early as 2011, on the Conan O'Brien show with Don Was and Cindy Cashdollar.
"Tomorrow Never Comes" was originally released in a different form as a bonus track for the album "FM".
"Stay Alive" was first released in 2013, performed by Jose Gonzalez for the soundtrack to the feature film "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty".
