Background
editThe third West End revival of the musical Sunset Boulevard began previews in September 2023. Directed by Jamie Lloyd, the revival stars Nicole Scherzinger as Norma Desmond, alongside Tom Francis, Grace Hodgett Young, and David Thaxton.[1] The revival was critically acclaimed,[2] winning seven Laurence Olivier Awards including a Laurence Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival, Best Actress in a Musical (Scherzinger), and Best Actor in a Musical (Francis).[3] In March of 2024, it was announced a live cast album would be released in through The Other Songs; it was recorded at the Savoy Theatre, during the production's run in the West End. It will be released worldwide on October 25, 2024, to coincide with the revival's transfer to Broadway that same month.[4]
