Survepalli Reservoir's FRL (full reservoir level) is 12 feet. 17th early in morning when I got here the reservoir water level was 14.5 feet and only one lashker was posted instead of six. 4 years ago a contractor had left some portion of revetment incomplete, that portion was about to breach. If this had happened two mandals would've been inundated and some villages totally washed-out. Loss of life would have been unimaginable.[1]
The construction of dam and appurtenant works were commenced in the year 1976 and completed during the year 1989.
