The Svante Arrhenius Medal is awarded by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences every five years to a Swedish or foreign scientist who has conducted groundbreaking studies in physics or chemistry.[1] The medal (in gold) is awarded in memory of Swedish physicist and chemist Svante Arrhenius (1859-1927).

Recent recipients include Bengt Nordén (2009)[2] and Per Siegbahn (2024).[3]
