Tarun Chugh is an Indian politician currently serving as the National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)..^[1]^[2]

Political Career

Chugh's career in politics began with the RSS.

1995: State General Secretary, BJP Youth Wing Punjab & National Executive Member of Yuva Morcha.

1997: State President, BJP Youth Wing Punjab & National Executive Member of Yuva Morcha.

2005: State Media & State Training Cell, BJP.

2007: State BJP Training Cell Organizer.

2009: Vice Chairman of Punjab Youth Development Board Department, Youth Services as Chief Parliamentary Secretary Rank.

2013: General Secretary, BJP Punjab, in charge of Doaba Zone (11 District Units) & In-charge BJP Youth Wing, Punjab.

2019: In-charge Andaman Nicobar & Co-In-Charge Delhi State BJP.^[3]^[4]

2020: BJP Telangana state in-charge^[5]

2022: Tarun Chugh gets second term as Telangana BJP in-charge^[6]

2024: Appointed as election incharge for BJP in Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh.^[7]^[8]

In 1993, Chugh was chosen as the President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) for the district of Amritsar. He works five years (1989-1994) as District Secretary and State Executive member of ABVP.

Chugh has contested from the Amritsar Central Assembly Constituency of Punjab, against Om Parkash Soni in 2012 and 2017 and lost in the elections^[14]^[15]^[16]. In 2013, Tarun Chugh has appointed as the in-charge of Doaba zone.^[17]
