The Bygone is a 2019 film starring Sydney Schafer as Waniya, a victim of sex trafficking in our modern day. Also starring Graham Phillips Kip Summer, whose uncorrupted heart is in stark contrast to practically every other male portrayed. The film is based on true testimonials from trafficking victims. "Before the arrival of European colonists, sexual violence was virtually nonexistent on North American soil. Since then, Native American women have suffered sexual victimization more than any other racial or ethic group. Without the voices of the brave survivors, this story would not have been possible."
