Thabo Maponda (born 14 July 2000) is a Motswana professional footballer who plays as a centre-forward for Botswana Premier League club Gaborone United and the Botswana national team.[1]
Club career

[edit]Maponda played for Matebele FC in domestic Orapa and regional leagues, establishing himself as an attacking asset in Motswana football.
Gaborone United
[edit]In October 2024, Maponda signed with Botswana Premier League side Gaborone United. Operating as a centre-forward and versatile attacker, he played in domestic league fixtures, cup competitions, and regional club tournaments like the CECAFA Kagame Cup.[2]
International career
[edit]Maponda made his senior debut for the Botswana national team in 2024. He played in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Asian and African qualification matches and the COSAFA Cup.[3]
