That’s Dance is a British free-to-air television channel owned by That's TV. It is focused on dance music from the last 5 decades. It is available on Sky Channel 360. It replaced Chart Show Retro on 24 June 2024.[1]
History
editThat’s Dance was originally spotted at Sky channel 365 along with That’s Memories on the where to watch section of the That’s TV website, the former slot of That's 60s. It was later changed to Sky channel 360. [2] It became a morning block on That’s 90s on 13 June 2024. That's 90s and That's 80s MCR were both renamed to That's Dance and That's Dance MCR respectively on Freeview on 12 June 2024, but despite this the broadcasts were both the same as before.
That's Dance officially launched as a full time channel on Sky channel 360 on 24 June 2024, replacing Chart Show Retro.[1] It’s first song was We Found Love by Rihanna feat. Calvin Harris.
Originally the channel's recent music was from the CSC Media Group library which went up to 2019, but it eventually gained more recent music from the 2020s later on.
Chart Show Retro
editChart Show Retro was a short-lived British television channel that focused on 1980s and 1990s music. It launched[3] on 4 March 2024 a few months after That's TV bought the Chart Show brand from Trace Group. There was going to be a revival of Chart Show Dance but it was changed to That's Dance.
Chart Show Retro closed[1] on 24 June 2024 and was replaced by That's Dance. Chart Show Retro lasted 4 months before closure. That's TV described Chart Show Retro as a "pilot" on the Sky platform.
It’s last song before closure was Modern Love by David Bowie.
