Draft:The Big Break
The Big Break is an Indian digital talent competition covering acting, dancing and singing, created by casting director Mukesh Chhabra and choreographer Bosco Martis.[1] The format was developed with Rajiv Lakshman and is produced by BARD.[1] Rather than staging in-person or televised auditions, the competition is built around Instagram and YouTube, with participants entering from their phones.[1] Entries opened on 5 August 2026.[1][2]
Format
[edit]Entrants submit a performance — a monologue, a song or a dance routine, depending on discipline — by sending a collaboration request to the competition's official social media handle.[3] Between 40 and 60 entries are accepted each day and published to the competition's channels.[3][4]
Participants selected from the digital stage travel to Mumbai, where they train and compete across weekly episodes and interactive sessions supervised by the mentors.[3] The competition concludes with an on-ground gala finale, also carried across its digital platforms.[3]
Mentors
[edit]Chhabra mentors the acting discipline and Martis the dance discipline; both are co-owners of the property.[5][6] Chhabra is a casting director in Hindi cinema, and Martis is a choreographer who heads the record label BLM Music.[5]
The singing discipline is overseen by a separate panel of Bollywood singers and composers, whose members had not been named as of August 2026.[5]
Music
[edit]Singers who perform well in the competition are considered for releases through BLM Music, Martis's label, which also releases original music produced for the competition.[7]
