The Carnival at the End of Days is an upcoming British independent black comedy film produced, written and directed by Terry Gilliam. The film stars Johnny Depp, Jeff Bridges, Adam Driver, and Jason Momoa.

Premise

After God decides to end the human race, Satan tries to save them, as he wants to continue to send people to hell for all eternity.[1]

In 2021, Terry Gilliam revealed that he was working on a new script for a film in which "God finally decides to destroy humanity - for desecrating the beautiful garden he created."[2] In June 2024, Gilliam revealed that the film was titled The Carnival at the End of Days.[3] It will star Johnny Depp as Satan and Jeff Bridges as God, along with Adam Driver and Jason Momoa.[4] In September 2024, Gilliam stated that he was struggling to finance the film.[5] Principal photography is expected to begin in January 2025.[1]
