The Golden Sack Cornhole Trophy

The Golden Sack trophy was hand crafted in June 2017 by legendary trophy-maker Joe Dauer. The trophy was erected from a majestic golden cob sculpture, flanked by two receptacle covers, and finished by a majestic dangling golden sack. It made its debut in August 2017 at the first ever Bishop Estates block party. The winning team of the cornhole tournament was presented the coveted Golden Sack trophy as a symbol of their glorious victory against other tournament competitors.

Throughout the years, the Golden Sack has been passed down from previous the year's winner to the current winner. After a brief pause during COVID, Bishop Estates block party moved to the Cabana Club where the corn-hole tournament resumed.

In 2021 the Golden Sack experienced catastrophic event. The trophy fell from a mantle and was shattered. Luckly the dream of the sack was not. In response, a full-blown emergency restoration effort was deployed, which involved a team of trophy restoration specialists and several hot glue sticks. After a few touch and go moments, the team successfully brought the Golden Sack back to its original glory.

Now, the Golden Sack swings at the ready to fulfill its duty as the symbol of reaching the pinnacle of athletic achievement.
