Podcast
editJohnston co-hosts a podcast with Bug Hunter (band) called Jam Mechanics in which they use self-given challenges in order to write songs. As of October 2nd, 2024, there have been 21 episodes across 2 seasons; one episode being a retrospective of the first season.

editAccording to their song Broken People, Johnston is a vegetarian.
