This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). The Nocturnals were a Canadian rhythm and blues band formed in Vancouver, BC in 1959. The group consisted of Bill McBeth (lead vocals and drums), Ron Henschel (backing vocals and lead guitar), Wayne Evans (backing vocals, bass, rhythm guitar), Carl Erickson (saxophone), Roger Skinner (saxophone), and Chad Thorp (backing vocals and organ).
History
editThe group first formed as an instrumental group in 1958 under the name The Rousers before adopting the name The Nocturnals. They were the first West Coast musical group to receive airplay in Central Canada.
The Nocturnals dissolved in the summer of 1968 but reunited for a single performance in 1986 and again for two shows in 2007.[1]
