dingus (no capital letters) is a fast-paced hide-and-seek game developed by Roblox user and developer DecimalCubed (@DecimalCubed) using the game engine Roblox Studio.
The game has two main "teams": hiders and hunters. The main objective for hiders is to complete various tasks while blending in with the NPCs around the map to avoid being caught by a hunter. Hunters aim to eliminate every single hider on the map before they complete the required tasks (or fill the progress bar in the new Refreshed mode) while avoiding killing innocent NPCs. Accidentally killing an NPC will result in a series of penalties (listed in the Hunter section).
The game does not feature any microtransactions and showcases a minimalistic UI with character animations that give it a slight retro look.

Base Gameplay
editEach round starts with one to three hunters, depending on the number of players. Hunters are tasked with tracking down and eliminating all hiders before they can complete their objectives, but they shall be careful as penalties occur if they hit innocent NPC's (Check "Hunters hyperlink"). In Classic mode, hiders must finish a list of tasks to win, this list includes white tasks, red tasks (if present) and occasionally requires a deposit in a purple task at a hideout. In Refreshed mode, they focus on filling a progress bar that does not have specifical tasks to be completed, so they may do any task in the map, and still contribute towards winning the game.
Hiders must blend seamlessly with the NPC's, acting naturally to avoid detection. They must not act erratically and shall follow the NPC's patterns to reduce their chances of discovery. Maintaining composure and mimicking NPC behavior is essential for survival, as just one shot eliminates a player from the game.
