Thomas Polsted (1505 – c. 1555) of Albury, Surrey, was an English politician.
Family
[edit]Thomas was the brother of Henry Polsted, who was also a parliamentarian. The date of Thomas' death is unclear, but he was likely predeceased his brother, as he does not appear in Henry's will, which mentions many living relatives.[1]
Career
[edit]Polsted was first elected to parliament as MP for Great Bedwyn in c. 1533 through a by-election during the parliament of 1529. He may also have served in the parliaments of 1536 and 1549, though records for these parliaments are incomplete.[1]
