Tilly Kaye (born June 24th 2011) is a British child actress born in Northern England. She is best known for playing the main character Biff in 'Biff & Chip' during 2021 and 2022.[1] She also had a key role in both Gentleman Jack and Last Tango in Halifax.
Career
editKaye first started acting at the age of five. She landed her first TV role in a pilot episode of a show titled 'Six Weeks', playing the role of Jess Woodley in 2018.[2]
A year later, Kaye appeared in the period drama Gentleman Jack in 2019, playing the role of Amy Sowden.[3] During the same year, Tilly also filmed in a sci-fi drama named The Feed, playing the character Becky Dearden.
In 2020, Kaye played Calamity in the BBC One British comedy drama Last Tango in Halifax.
Kaye went to play Biff, a main character in the CBeebies TV show titled Biff and Chip. The series tells the imaginative adventures of the twins Biff and Chip, their brother Kipper and their family and friends.[1] The show is based on the books 'Biff, Chip and Kipper', which were used in primary schools to teach children how to read.[4]
Throughout 2021, Kaye has appeared in commercials Facebook, Morrisons and AXA.[5]
Kaye received a nomination for "TV Series Leading Youth Artist" at the 44th Young Artist Academy Awards in Los Angeles in 2023.[6][7]
