Tina Fordham[1][2][3] is a dual American and British geopolitical strategist known for her expertise in political risk analysis. She is the founder of Fordham Global Foresight, an independent consultancy that advises boards and C-suite executives on global political risks and how to raise their Political Quotient (PQ), a term Fordham developed to describe an organization's ability to navigate political risks. Fordham has spent over 25 years advising world leaders, businesses, and international organizations on how global political, economic, and social developments impact markets and business strategies.[4]

Early Life and Education

Tina Fordham[5] graduated from San Francisco State University in 1998 with a BA in English and World/Comparative Literature. Fordham later earned a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), where she remains an active member of the International Advisory Board.[3]

Career

Fordham began her career in geopolitical analysis at Eurasia Group, where she founded the firm's financial markets research business. She later became the first Chief Global Political Analyst on Wall Street at Citigroup, where she spent 17 years advising institutional investors and corporations on the macro-political landscape. This role made her the first woman to hold a position of this nature on Wall Street.

In 2020, Fordham joined the London-based law firm Avonhurst as a partner and Global Head of Political Strategy before founding Fordham Global Foresight in 2022, a consultancy that helps organizations navigate complex global political environments. Fordham's methodology incorporates political science and international relations theory into strategic advice for businesses, particularly focusing on issues like populism, civil unrest, great power competition, and women's economic empowerment.[3]

She has also served as a senior advisor to the U.K. Prime Minister's Strategy Unit, focusing on countries at risk of instability, and was appointed by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to the UN Secretary-General's High-Level Panel on Women's Economic Empowerment.[6][7]
