Tuan, equivalent to Tengku, Ungku, Engku in malaysia, for the Kelantan state, Pattani (now part of southern Thailand) meaning Master, Prince / Princess or His/Her Serene Highness Prince/Princess. A hereditary (paternal) title from one of the lineages of the Royal Family of Kelantan and Pattani. Due to its colonial overtones, this title is mostly obsolete.
