Umesh Parsad Thani (born 28th December 1979) is an engineer and currently the president of Center of Democratic Engineers Nepal (CDEN) (from Dec 2020 to till date) Other Remarkable involvements includes Ex Managing Director of Nepal Oil Corporation, Principal in Everest Engineering College (June 2019 to July 2021), Board member at Nepal Electricity Authority (December 2016 to 2019), Board Member at Road Board Nepal (June 2017 to 2019), Elected as general Secretary In Nepal Engineers' Association (December 2017 to 2019), Appointed by Government of Nepal as Registrar in Nepal Engineering Council (May 2013 - 2017) Thani was born in Surkhet and did bachelor degree in Civil engineering from Pulchowk campus (Kathmandu) (2003) and did master in Water Resources Engineering (2013) from Pulchowk Campus, Tribhuvan University, also did MA in sociology (2007) from Trichandra Campus and LLB (2018) from Nepal Law Campus, Tribhuvan Campus. As Reward and recognition, He recieved letter of Appreciation from by Ministry of Energy in 2074 BS and he also received Suprabal Janasewa Shree Padak On the occasion of Constitution Day 2078 BS
