Background

edit

On 14 March 2012, eLDee released a trailer for the album, talking about his creative process for the album and showcased two snippets off "Undeniable". In the trailer, eLDee said that he wanted to blend contemporary sounds with traditional genres, like Afrobeat, highlife and fuji. For example, putting synths instead of horns, synthetic drums instead of traditional drums and then finally back it up with traditional sounds. In an interview with OkayAfrica, eLDee said that he "wanted to blend traditional sounds from a pop perspective, from a more international perspective." He worked with producers like Sarz, Cobhams Asuquo, Tee-Y Mix, among others to fuse traditional African music with contemporary electronic sounds.[1]
