WEZAG is a South Korean five-member boy group under ATUNES Corporation. The group consists of Junhyeok, Doa, Taehyeon, Sion, and Kyungtaek.[1]
The group began pre-debut activities in 2026 and released the pre-debut EP The First Harmony on February 27.[2] On August 29, 2026, WEZAG released the single "Playlist".[3]
History
[edit]2026: Pre-debut activities and The First Harmony
[edit]WEZAG held WEZAG FANCON ~The First Harmony~ at Kanagawa Kenmin Kyosai Mirai Hall in Yokohama on February 22, 2026. A mini-live event connected with the group's mini-album followed at the same venue on February 23.[4]
On February 27, the group released the five-track pre-debut EP The First Harmony through ATUNES Corporation.[2] The EP consists of "Intro : ZAG", "La Si Do RE Mi" (라시도레미), "Dream Balloon" (꿈풍선), "We", and "La Si Do RE Mi (Japanese Ver.)". "La Si Do RE Mi" serves as the title track.[2]
The album introduction uses the phrase "One Sharp Turn! We are WEZAG!".[2] Junhyeok participated in composing "La Si Do RE Mi", while Doa participated in writing the lyrics for "We".[2]
From late March through April, WEZAG carried out the Japanese live project Tokyo Loop Live ~We go up~, holding a series of performances in Tokyo.[5]
Additional performances were held at Kabukicho Theater in late April.[6]
On May 23, WEZAG held its first fan concert in South Korea, WEZAG 1st FAN CONCERT 〈ONE SHARP TURN〉, at Space Brick in Seoul. Two performances were held at 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.[7]
Japanese promotions
[edit]A Japanese physical release titled WEZAG ~THE FIRST HARMONY~ was released on June 24, 2026, through C2L under catalogue number WEZAG-202606.[8]
To promote the release, WEZAG held mini-live and fan events at Tower Records Ikebukuro on June 25 and Tower Records Kawasaki on June 26.[9][10]
During the same period, WEZAG participated in the Carlos K. Song Provision Competition supported by Karaoke Manekineko (Carlos K. 楽曲提供争奪バトル!! supported by カラオケまねきねこ). The group finished first with 8,270 points.[11]
On June 19, WEZAG appeared on Shibuya Cross-FM's SHIBUYA VOICE in a public live broadcast from Shibuya.[12]
On July 3, WEZAG appeared as the guest personality on Music Bird's Odaiba Rainbow Station.[13]
WEZAG also appeared on BS Nippon Television's variety program Pokkaru (ぽっかる) on May 24, June 14, July 19, and August 2, 2026.[14]
On August 22, the group held the On The Playlist WEZAG Fan Concert at Shibuya Pleasure Pleasure in Tokyo. The event consisted of two performances.[15]
On August 29, WEZAG released the single "Playlist".[3]

Junhyeok
[edit]Junhyeok, whose full name is Yang Jun-hyeok (양준혁), was a member of n.SSign. On December 8, 2024, n.CH Entertainment announced that Junhyeok and Eddie would end their activities with n.SSign and terminate their exclusive contracts with the agency.[16]
Before WEZAG's formation, Junhyeok released the solo singles DO in 2025 and Story in 2026.[17]
Doa
[edit]Doa, whose birth name is Kim Seung-hyeok (김승혁), competed on Channel A's audition program Youth Star in 2022.[18]
Kyungtaek
[edit]In September 2026, Kyungtaek joined the fifteenth production of the musical Sunny Ten in the role of Junho. A post published through WEZAG's official account stated that he had completed his first performance in the role.[19]
