Wabilogic

[edit]

Wabilogic [ pronunciation: /ˌwɑːbiˈlɒdʒɪk/] is a company involved in the development and manufacture of home appliances, particularly coffee preparation equipment. In 2021, Daily Coffee News described Wabilogic as a Hong Kong-based product development firm involved in launching consumer coffee appliances in the North America market.[1]

The company operates through entities including Wabilogic Ltd. in Hong Kong and Wabilogic Inc in the United States. Independent coverage of the company has primarily focused on its role in developing coffee-related products and its collaboration with already established consumer brands. [1]

History

[edit]

According to company materials, Wabilogic’s origins are linked to Electrical & Electronics Ltd. (E&E), a manufacturer founded in 1966 that produced home appliances and personal care products. The company began operations in Hong Kong and later expanded manufacturing capacity into mainland China.

The Wabilogic brand was introduced in 2015 as a platform for developing consumer appliances with an emphasis on product design and usability. In 2017, the company entered into a licensing agreement to develop and distribute Melitta®-branded electric coffee appliances in North America. [1]

Products

[edit]

Wabilogic develops and manufactures a range of household appliances, with a primary focus on coffee preparation systems. Its product categories include automatic drip coffee makers, programmable brewers, grind-and-brew machines, coffee grinders, electric kettles, and automated pour-over systems.

Some products incorporated features such as temperature tracking, integrated coffee extraction monitoring system. Certain models are designed to combine smart brewing processes with combination of manual coffee preparation.

Design and Innovation

[edit]

Product developed with Wabilogic's involvement has received recognition from international design organizations.

The Vision 12-cup automatic drip coffee maker received multiple international design awards. It was recognized with a Red Dot Design Award, with award credits listing Wabilogic among the manufacturer.[2] The same product also received a Good Design Award from The Chicago Athenaeum [3] and a Bronze International Design Excellence Award (IDEA) from the Industrial Designers Society of America.[4]

The Senz V pour-over coffee system, also received a Red Dot Design Award, recognizing its integration of automated controls with manual-style brewing techniques.[5] It was additionally listed in the Good Design Awards database, which described it as a system designed to give users control over brewing variables such as timing and water distribution.[6]

Awards and Recognition

[edit]

Products associated with Wabilogic have received recognition from both design organizations and consumer product publications. A coffee maker developed by the company was included in the 2022 Good Housekeeping Kitchen Gear and Coffee Awards, where evaluators highlighted its brewing performance and design features.[7]

==== Markets and Distribution ====

Wabilogic’s developed products have been marketed primarily in North America and parts of Asia. These products have been distributed through a combination of retail partnerships and e-commerce platforms. Independent reporting on the company’s distribution network and market scale remains limited, and much of the available information about its commercial reach is derived from product listings and company materials rather than detailed third-party analysis.
