Waikamoi Preserve is an 8,951 acre nature preserve in Maui, Hawai'i. It is protected by The Nature Conservancy. It is located on East Maui on the north eastern slopes of Haleakalā.
Most of the preserve is a native 'Ōhi'a/Koa rainforest. It is home to rare plants such as Cyanea horrida, and many native birds such as 'Apapane, 'Amakihi, 'I'iwi, and Maui 'Alauahio. It is also home to the rare endangered forest birds like Kiwikiu and 'Ākohekohe. There are many rare native plant and invertebrate species found in this preserve. Many are undiscovered.
Access to the preserve is very limited. This is due to the fact that hikers can bring invasive plant seeds on their shoes and hurt these fragile ecosystems. Trespassing is not allowed.
