White Nights is the life story of two lonely people. The man, a university professor, is socially disillusioned and philosophically hopeless, and spends his isolation teaching literature, reading books, and wandering the streets. One night, he notices a girl with a bag and helps her get rid of the harassment of a car driver. From here, a friendship is formed between him and Roya. According to the promise she made to her lover, Amir, one year after the last meeting, Roya came to the meeting place and wants to wait for Amir at a certain place and time for four nights. The professor shelters Roya and helps him to find Amir. During these four days, Roya and the professor gradually become attached. The professor decides to marry Roya, but on the fourth night, Amir comes to the meeting place and Roya goes with him. The film tells the story of how these two characters met, fell in love, and separated from the words of a university professor.[3][4]
