Wikipedia:Zealing and whatevers
editThis is an essay. It contains the advice or opinions of one or more Wikipedia contributors. This page is not an encyclopedia article, nor is it one of Wikipedia's policies or guidelines, as it has not been thoroughly vetted by the community. Some essays represent widespread norms; others only represent minority viewpoints. |
This essay about a certain encyclopedia is essentially a stub. Help it by editing.
Wikipedia (which is bolded because it is the focus of this essay) is not a playplace. It is a land of civility and notability ... which may not be possible ...
To zeal is to "[show] great energy or enthusiasm in pursuit of a cause or an objective."[1]
Wikipedia zeals to be an encyclopedia, but it isn't "oh, just a book by a small team of nerds", no, it is a community of lunatics obsessed with giving the world knowledge ... mostly[2]. Often, because of this, Wikipedia has to give users essays and essays of rules and mores and ... beans? As far as you can tell already, Wikipedia has an unstable community, and can't exist properly with or without them.
So are you shivering about the useless amounts of Wikipedia there is (which is 100%, by the way)? Well, you can help this wiki. Come on, click on the link! No, not that (or this) one!
