William Nassar is a Lebanese composer, singer and politician who has been living in Canada since 1993. He is considered one of the most successful Canadian composers of Arab origin.[1]
Artistic Career
editTogether with Sami Hawat, Marcel Khalife, Ahmad Kaabour, Ziad Rahbani, Samih Choucair and Khaled El Haber, he established the line of committed songs in Lebanon, Syria and the Arab world. He also achieved a Lebanese, Arab and international presence as a composer and singer, and as a member of various international music institutions.[2]

editOn the Road to Aytat, or as it is known as “Aytat”, is the first song whose lyrics and music were written and performed by the composer and political singer William Nassar when he was still residing in Lebanon, Beirut.[3]
