William T. Reid is an American climatologist and storm chaser.[1][2] He acquired a Masters degree in Geography, with emphasis on Climatology, from California State University, Northridge. His storm chasing career began on July 21, 1993 when he intercepted a large tornado near Last Chance, Colorado.[1] Reid began his professional storm chasing career in 2000 when he became the primary tour director for Tempest Tours, a storm chasing tour company founded the same year by storm chaser Martin Lisius.[3][4] KTLA reporter Christina Pascucci[5] covered Reid's storm chasing activities in a story she filmed in 2023.[2]
