Willy Nkya (born October 5th 1994) is a Tanzanian film Producer and Tv host. dedicated to bringing the rich and captivating stories of the African continent to life.[1]
Biography and career
editBorn in Arusha Tanzania but grew up in Kibondo Willy Nkya graduated from the Multichoice Talent Factory in 2019[2] . He further honed his storytelling skills at OnaStories Ltd [3] , mastering comprehensive digital narratives through virtual reality and augmented reality. He has worked for Bongo Star Search TV show, as a Assistant Content director and Floor Manager.
As a film producer Willy Nkya has produced spearheaded award-winning film productions such as Frida (2021), Mvamizi (2022), and The Midnight Bride (2023). He has worked with Tanzanian production companies like Kijiweni Production, WeMedia Limited, and OnaStories [4]producing films, Documentaries and Tv Commericials for Companies like Vodacom Airtel Sportpesa, UNESCO and The World Bank Group.
Willy Nkya is a host of the children's animation TV show "Nuzo & Namia" for Ubongo Learning.
